MTS may award up to 21 hours of transfer credit toward the MDiv and 14 hours of transfer credit towards the MACM degrees for completed United Methodist Course of Study work at the rate of 1.5 hours per module or its equivalent.
Courses must have been taught by persons who have been approved by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church to teach in its official Course of Study program for part-time or full-time local pastors, and must be noted on official educational transcripts of the Course of Study. Approved instructors meet the requirements for adjunct instructors at Memphis Theological Seminary.
Transfer credits may only be applied towards elective hours in the M.Div. or MACM curriculums as determined by the Professor of Wesleyan Studies and the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Academic Dean. Only courses in which students receive a minimum grade of “B” or its equivalent will be eligible for consideration. For transcript evaluation, speak with the Professor of Wesleyan Studies or the VPAA/Academic Dean.
